I am pretty much in love with Link and Sirius Black.
I am soooo falling back into my escapism habits. I dunno if I'm depressed or what, but everyday life isn't making me happy anymore. I blame the weather.
I'm going to go play Zelda now.
I forgot!

16 WILDANDCRAZY Things
Sunday, December 7, 2008
These are going to not be very original. Maybe.
This is the thing that if I tagged you, now you have to post a note with 16 random things about yourself. Or don't, but then you'll be totally un-fun and lame.
1. Every time I watch a Harry Potter movie, I can't help but complain about things they got wrong and compliment good original stuff they came up with. This (I'm sure) makes watching HP movies with me not very fun. The 5th one was pretty much perfect all-around, just sayin'.
2. I LOVE mod fashion, but I don't have the Twiggy body or the money, so I really only have a couple outfits.
3. I love Welsh Corgis and they are all my best friends.
4. My other best friend is a Rachel Ann and she really wants me to get married so we can go on double dates instead of her husband getting left out of things (or us doing stuff and not spending money). I'm not sure that's the only reason though.
5. I think dark days are pretty, but they make me moody.
6. I think I'd love coffee if I ever tried it. Even though I know it tastes nasty.
7. I love coming up with ideas for and giving people presents.
8. I love roller coasters.
9. Relationships don't tend to go well for me. :x
10. I can't stand gore or the sounds of bodies breaking. And I hate guns. I'd make a lousy soldier.
11. But swords are really cool!!
12. I get (too) excited when I find out something new about Japan, or if I meet someone from there.
13. I read alot, but I don't really read anything that broadens my mind, so I don't know if it counts. I kind of only read young adult fantasy..
14. IM GOING TO HAVE A NIECE :D
15. I consider myself a tomboy.
16. If I was to get cancer, and I was going to die for sure, I'd have someone write a letter to Alton Brown asking him to make me that apple pie that he made on that one episode of Good Eats so I could try it. I don't think he'd make me an apple pie otherwise, he's too famous and busy. What with the grape juice commercials now and all.
I'm not gonna tag anyone!

Coldplay Plagiarized?
Friday, December 5, 2008
Oh no! One of my favorite songs of all time may possibly be plagiarized work!
"Grammy nominees Coldplay have been sued by rock guitarist Joe Satriani, who claims the band's song Viva La Vida uses one of his riffs." (View the article here.)
I'm listening to the supposed original song, and while it sounds similar, it's.. not much the same. It's only a little bit that is the same. And Coldplay's song is so much more amazing. Blegh. I don't like this type of music. Listen to it here.
And Coldplay's Viva la Vida here.
What do you think? Do you care that they may have stolen a bit of music? (I think it likely they came up with it on their own without knowing someone else already did, and this guy is trying to cash in; considering they're so famous. But that's just me.)

Painting Number this one.

Multimedia to me means: painting something awesome and then unenthusiastically gluing beads and foil bits on it. Oh, and smearing sparkly chapstick on the light. This is sure to get me an A!! *Sigh.*

Risa!
Friday, November 28, 2008
In my painting class, I made friends with a girl from Japan! She's really fun and really cute. We like to hang out and kind of share cultures I guess you could say. SO I WILL SHOW PICTURES OF ADVENTURES. <3
This is me and Risa's roommate Yuko! She's really nice too! She speaks really good English, so we can sort of communicate better. We're showing off our new socks that Risa gave us. Her mom sent them over from Japan to give to her friends. Aren't they cute?
We also made this together! I unfortunately don't remember what it's called.. but it was a kind of.. sweet-red-bean-sticky-soup-with-rice-squishies-in-it. I was really yummy, but it was so different and new I wasn't able to eat much of it. I keep craving it now though. (Isn't it weird that that happens?)
And this is Risa's self-portrait from the assignment we had in class. Isn't it awesome? She is a really good painter!
A different dayt I made her (for an after-school.. snack. for lack of a better-term) an american breakfast! Toast with homemade raspberry jam, hash browns, and a fried egg. It was yummy, if I may say so myself. She liked it too, but she seems to like everything.
We also played with my webcam, which was pretty much the funniest thing ever. Sometimes quiet people can be really hilarious, it's so surprising!

Friends come and go.
OH THE MELANCHOLY OF LIFE.
Yes, it has happened again. Ditched by another boy. This one doesn't really count though, because I didn't really "go" after him. I'd learned my lesson lol. He tried me on for size and then apparently moved on to someone else. A strawberry blonde flirty peppy someone who has a lame sense of humor and doesn't want to make new friends. *Shakefist* She's in my institute class, and she ignores a lot of people there.
Actually, she reminds me alot of a certain HUGE family back in the Puyallup stake.
But I'm just spouting bitterness now.
And then a.. well. Used-to-be close friend is a close friend no longer. It's been over a year since we've really been able to connect. From her behavior it's as if she hates me now (when I've done nothing) so I'm just letting go. Why be around people who just want to abuse you and bring you down with them?
You know what though? I feel good. I love my family. I have other friends and aquaintances, and I'm having fun. Life moves on, and you meet new people. I think I'm also learning how to deal with this stuff. It doesn't hit me nearly as hard as it used to. When I found out about that guy, I was mad for about fifteen minutes and then I didn't really care anymore. The big test is to see them together, but whatever. It will probably sting.. but I'll be okay-dokay.

Twilight!!
Friday, November 21, 2008
Twilight. I saw it. I loved it! I did. I loved it. I loved the scenery, I loved the actors, I loved the twists they put on the story. I loved how Bella is now nice, Edward is unintentionally hilarious, and Victoria is no longer flat as a character. I love how they made the humans actually fun and not dull in comparison to the vampires. I loved Charlie, he stole every scene and he was so funny. I loved Jacob and Alice and Jasper. I loved how Jessica presented him as "The one who always looks like he's in pain", and he DID always look like he was in pain. I loved the sparkliness in the sunlight!! I loved the kitchen scene, I loved Rosalie's attitude. I loved the music they sprinkled throughout the movie! I loved the action, yum yum.
I did NOT love the makeout scene. But that's because I hate watching anyone kiss. I also did not love most of Edward and Bella's interaction together. But that's what I'm like with the book, too. I don't really like them, but I like the story.
Did I mention I LOVED Mike Newton?? I loved Mike Newton. He was adorable and perfect and I want to keep him.
I saw it with my friend Rachel. She's read the book, but she's not a fan like me. She thought it was good when I thought it was really good. My other friends either 1. haven't read the book, 2. hate the book, or 3. are crazy fangirls. It is not fun to talk to crazy fangirls about it. I need to find someone who thinks about the series the same way I do. I need to SQUEE without the screams!
Mm, I want to see it again. Let's you and me go now, yay!

It's been too long since I've posted!
Well, I'm sitting in my class before it's about to start, but I think I need to post a resolution here asap. Because I am addicted to the internet and this needs to be solved.
I need to stop using Digg.com
And I need to stop using facebook.com
In concept and theory, both these sites rock, but they're only as cool as the people on them. Lately digg has become a lot of "mormons suck" propoganda. Facebook has too many boys I don't want to remember.
I'll try and stop using both for one week!

I'm thinking about guys again. This subject is always coming up for me, ha ha. Done with one and on to the next. What is that? It's not like I need one, really..? But I must really want one, because I keep getting hurt and then getting crushes on other guys. Huh.
Like just now, I have a new crush. Returned missionary, nice, funny, cute, acknowledges that I exsist, the normal list. But this is coming on barely weeks after the last guy. And that guy dropped me hard. Not even dropped, he threw me down hard. And I was heartbroken! I know this! I felt it! I cried! And I withdrew..! Sort of.
See, I'm just so confused with myself.
I must not be getting that involved with them. I mean, really. Because I'm a logical person, yeah, and I'd stop going after guys so much if I felt that it was bad for me. But I don't. And it seems like a few people are worried about that. They don't want to see me get hurt again, but was I really that hurt in the first place?
Maybe it all comes down to expectations. Now, with the last guy, I didn't expect him to be a total jerk. But I didn't expect him to like or love me either. That must've changed everything quite a bit. Because while it hurt, (how can rejection not hurt?) I knew I never truly expected it to be anything in the first place.
After that happened, I swore off guys for the rest of the year. I said, three failed relationships, that's enough for me for a while. But now I'm practically going off my word. Not entirely at least, I'm not chasing after anyone. But I'm not stopping my raging hormones. Or necessarily being repulsed by others' either. (Okay, some others.. MOST others.. but a few guys have been able to get away with touching me and I didn't get mad. L O L z.) At least I know for SURE that I am going to keep my emotions in check. No more attachments until I have a secure DTR under my belt.. in writing. Ha ha.
Pfoo.
But who knows. Love matters are stupid and complicated, and I am resolving to just have my little crush, keep it under the ropes if I can, and enjoy this branch where there is MUCH too much male attention. Lol. This cannot possibly be healthy.

Unhappiness
Saturday, July 12, 2008
I'm having a severe problem with guys in the past year. Three relationships that haven't worked out. I'm pretty bummed.
Let's all be sad for me.
Oh, and Deviantart has a new layout! It almost makes me want to revive my account again.. so pretty..
But I doubt I will because some people on there are losers.

Weeeee.. lime.. OH and Disneyland Barbershop Quartet video~
Monday, July 7, 2008
I forgot to say in my Disneyland post (and I'm sick of editing that thing) that my buddy Karsen got to dance with the barbershop quartet at Disneyland! I got a video. :D

Disneylandddddd
It's been nearly a month since I last posted, ha ha.
BUT THAT'S OKAY.
BECAUSE I'VE BEEN SAVING UP ALL MY ENERGY FOR THIS HERE POST.
..
Disneylanddddd. :)
I took a million pictures, but I just picked out some of the important ones to share. There is no easy way to share all of them on this blog efficiently. :<
This is the view of Mt. Rainer from the plane! Isn't it beautiful?
DISNEYLAND. If you get there right when it opens, there really aren't very many people there. It's nice. Later on it got very crowded. You could smell stinky bodies.
My friend Karsen (I stayed with her family that week! Thank you guys! Loves!) and I together the first day. I got a Peter Pan hat! (Mad Hatter shop, Fantasy Land, $8.00. Free embroidering of your name on the side, too. Cool, huh?)
Aladdin and Jasmine. :) Aladdin was a punk and changed his expression at the last second!
We saw the Year of a Million Dreams parade, I think it was called. How amazing! And I was happy and had a good seat (and was wearing a hat), so I got all sorts of attention. People were waving and smiling at me all over, it was very cool. This is one of the better pictures I got of getting waved at, haha. And Peter Pan pointed at me and was like "yeah!" Lol!
Welcome to California Adventure. :)
Mulan and Snow White hanging out. Mulan was giving the other directions.
Later I managed to get a picture with Snow.
-- Second day
My posse! These girls rock!
Martha Stewart was a pirate?
The Winnie the Pooh ride in Critter County in Disneyland made me cry. It. was. hilarious. Ariel (upper picture, far left) calls the ride Acid Trip. Oh, it is so true. It was amazing.
Mickey loves me. Lol!!
The piano player on Main Street at Disneyland told us that at a certain time, Bert and Mary were going to come to take pictures! Yay!
Ridin' the carousel at night. Yeah baby!
Aaah.. Disneyland and Cali Adventure are amazing. LOVED the rollercoasters, loved the cast members. Perfect beyond perfect vacation.

Baseball! And stupid Twilight sound affects!
Tuesday, June 3, 2008
I went to a Mariners game last week. (: I was on the big screen! A couple Asian guys came and sat in the two seats next to me (which were not theirs, I might add), and one had a camera pointed at the big screen, and another would hold up a sign every once in awhile. I had no idea what they were doing, and then all the sudden they were shouting "YATTA!" and Rachel said "Kate, you're on TV." You never know what your reaction is going to be to that sort of thing, and now I know that I cringe and duck out of the way. Ha. It was awesome.
And look at this piece of crap they released yesterday. What's with the rattlesnake sound affects and the roars? And the special affects. I hope they rushed this out, because it looked strictly Sci-fi channel. Oh, and I don't like the bad guy. His acting reminds me of Keanu Reeves or something, but with a softer voice. "Oh, dude, really..? Dude.."
In case Lincoln reads this blog, this is scary for children. PG-13 action sequence!
Not that the movie being crappy is going to keep me out of the theaters or anything.

Sailor Jupiter
Monday, May 26, 2008
Wow, these smaller versions look better than I thought they would. This is a picture of Sailor Jupiter from Sailor Moon, the manga/anime. She was one of my favorites.. (I had like four lol. There's a lot of people in that story!) I liked her because she had the same hair and eye color as me. And she was the kick-butt girl, she saved people from bullies and stuff before she "transformed." Yeah..
Um, when I first started drawing this pic (that sketch up there) I flipped it and realized that reversing horizontally was not my friend on this one. I kept going with doing a cleaner version (second picture) anyway.. flipping it every once in awhile to see if it might look a little better, and it never did. So I decided I'd make a bg with the tilting problem corrected. I still put a ghost of the original in there, though. She looks better tilted! Even if it's kind of.. gravitationally impossible.
