Sailor Jupiter

Wow, these smaller versions look better than I thought they would. This is a picture of Sailor Jupiter from Sailor Moon, the manga/anime. She was one of my favorites.. (I had like four lol. There's a lot of people in that story!) I liked her because she had the same hair and eye color as me. And she was the kick-butt girl, she saved people from bullies and stuff before she "transformed." Yeah..

Um, when I first started drawing this pic (that sketch up there) I flipped it and realized that reversing horizontally was not my friend on this one. I kept going with doing a cleaner version (second picture) anyway.. flipping it every once in awhile to see if it might look a little better, and it never did. So I decided I'd make a bg with the tilting problem corrected. I still put a ghost of the original in there, though. She looks better tilted! Even if it's kind of.. gravitationally impossible.

What's new~

Just finished Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows for the second time. It took me a long time to go back and read it! A long time to digest, maybe? Anywho, that is one rollicking adventure of a good book. I highly recommend it. Unfortunately you'd have to understand the story up until then, so you'd have to read that horrible sixth book. Ugh. I'm still planning on never reading that one again. What was she thinking?

Because of my lovely friend Racherann, I've been introduced to Coheed and Cambria. I've been listening to their latest "No World for Tomorrow" album. They're good stuff. Here's their last.fm profile.

Game Wishlist

Zack and Wiki - I've heard it compared to Zelda multiple times. And it's bright and pretty! It's a puzzler/adventure game about.. a pirate or something? In any case, it uses the wiimote and you get to draw on the screen or something. It's been a while since it was released, I don't remember that much about it anymore. I DO remember wanting to own it ferociously though, lol. So I'm sure it looks fun.


Okami - Another Zelda-like game.. also helps that it is gorgeous. All the backgrounds are inspired by Sumi-E paintings, and (I've heard) the game was inspired by Zelda itself. Can you tell I'm a Zelda fan? No?


Mario Kart Wii - This has been the hardest one to keep myself from buying. Argh.

Gas Mileage

I just found out something good! The car I usually drive gets about 25 mpg, and apparently I'm driving it at 29.8. Or maybe it was 28.9. In any case, Woot!

A failed run.

I tried to run today and didn't get too far. ): I was running through a swamp on a course that I'd taken before, and after my first 1/2 mile marker my feet started to hurt. I'm not really sure how I'm going to fix that.. I was running on dirt/rocks and not pavement (I've pretty much banned myself from that stuff), so I guess I'll have to try insoles. If it gets worse, padded track? Don't know where I'm going to find one of those. Anyway, I had myself run at least to an intersection I knew. At the intersection there are signs saying how far it is to the next thing, and I wanted to check how far I'd run. Unfortunately, the sign that I needed to look at was sort of tipped over on the side of the trail. I could make out everything except what I needed to read, lol, so I stepped over a log to it and brushed away a plant to see the number. Found out it was a lousy .3 and I got bit my Stinging Nettles for it. Very nice. At least on my way back a cute chipmunk ran across my path. But then some fly flew in circles around me, so I ran from that.. and then a nice guy said hi to me as he ran by and then another chipmunk ran by and then some guy was waving really funny and then I went home.
