Don't ever go to the bathroom with a cat in there. They stare at you and get curious about what you're doing. It's highly embarrassing.

Some art.
Wednesday, April 23, 2008
A friend of mine canceled plans on me today, so I was left feeling bored and mildly depressed. The above drawing/painting is what came of that.
It's almost no fun to draw anymore.. does anyone else have a hobby they used to love that now doesn't do much for them? I wish I still loved to draw. Now it's.. bleh.
Oh and, DISCLAIMER, lol. If you're an idiot that doesn't know about drawings, poses and anatomy come before clothes. I just didn't get very far. XD

My blog is making links out of things that shouldn't be links and eating up whole paragraphs. xD I am too lazy to figure out what is wrong and/or fix these things.

Scrabble, Snow, and .. SEthan.
Yes, someone finally beat Naomi at Scrabble. AND YES, IT WAS I. Freaking miracle or something, I don't know. Kind of ironic that in the same day, Scott kicked my trash at the same game. He got something like 230 while I had 60.
It snowed here a few days ago. Snow on the 19th of April? The Earth is broken.
Picture of Ethan and I yesterday courtesy of Emily. (: This camera does not like my skin tone! I have two; normal and blushing. This picture shows that I have like five all at once. Pah.
Boring post. Ehhhhhhh.

A parade!
Sunday, April 13, 2008
Hello all, and welcome to another installment of this blog. :< Naomi asked for a post about the Daffodil parade that I went to yesterday, so I'LL DO IT. We went to Puyallup to see it, and stood in front of a little Shell station and across from the Puyallup library. It was the most BEAUTIFUL weather, aah.. 78-ish degrees? I got sunburned from standing in the sun for over an hour. Definitely worth it. (And everyone just thinks I'm blushing or something, DUH, I GOT SUNBURNED. But this is a tangent. On to the photos!)
We saw an adorable little red-haired.. girl! Rachel and I made a game of finding the one red-headed kid in every band. There always was one!
We saw the CRAZIEST little kid I've ever seen. This girl boogied with all the boogie.. in the boogie. Man, I'm tired. I don't even know what to say about it. But it was pretty boogilicious. There you go.
We saw this float! Rachel and I think these were the princesses and queen? We never saw them! This is some sort of berry float.. But the girls did have "princess" sashes on.. I dunno. We didn't see a Fife band, either.
We saw these girls on tall unicycles that kicked butt! The other kids were amazing too! I wish I could do that!
We saw a stupid pirate ship. It had a cannon that went off that was LOUD. It made the clerk jump when I was buying my drink in the Shell mart.

Hello world!
Thursday, April 10, 2008
Well. It's time for a new blog, I guess. I recently deleted all of my deviantart (link) journal entries in a rampage, so I needed a new place to settle down.
I'm not exactly sure what this blog is going to be about yet! It will probably be rambling nonsense about anime, games, books, movies.. probably with some art and web design work thrown in. Ha, web design. All I do so far is the pretty pictures and the look of the page, I can't really implement much. Can you see? I changed the background color and got rid of some lines around my header in the CSS code. I'm going to have to improve on this.
Maybe I should say a little about myself? I'm a young, post-high school person working for my brother-in-law, and I spend a lot of my time consuming as much as I can of Japanese culture. Maybe I'm an escapist, I dunno. I also have a big family, a few of whom have their own blogs, and they're probably going to be the only people to read this one. :D Hey everyone.
And I'm mildly bipolar, so I could bet my wii that some of my posts will be manic and/or depressed.
Let's get down to the real content, shall we? Right now I am rereading a book called "Conquerors' Pride" by Timothy Zahn. It's a real SciFi novel that is LACKING in romance, which is odd, but okay. It's still an old favorite of mine. Not real popular, I'm not even sure how original it is, haha. But I love it just the same.
It's about a family called the Cavanaghs. The youngest Cavanagh, Pheylan, is a Captain in a fleet that is attacked by an unknown race out in the middle of nowhere in space. The aliens rip them to pieces, and take him captive, oh no! So then the rest of his family with their riches and their bodyguards go to save him. Jolly good time. Oh, and it's a three-part-series, but the second book is all about the aliens and I felt it a waste of time. (I'm not all that into scifi. I just like the human stuff.)
I actually got to meet this author, too! He signed another book for me, "The Icarus Hunt." That one's cool, too. Kind of Han Solo-ish.
I also just started a manga called "Vampire Knight" and HOLY GOODNESS. It's a rip-roarin' good time. For some reason the vampires have blood, and they seem to like licking people just as much as they like sucking out their juices, but it's good nonetheless.
I think my favorite character is Kaname. Mr. Head-vampire-of-the-night-school guy. He's very serious and when he shows that angry "I'm gonna kill j00" side, it's pretty thrilling.
OH I FORGOT TO SAY WHAT IT'S ABOUT. Yeah, it's about a private school that has a "Day Class" and a "Night Class." The main character, Yuki (a girl name this time, unlike Fruits Basket) is a prefect with another boy Zero. They have to keep the Day Class from being fangirly idiots twice a day because *GASP* the Night Class is all vampires. Gorgeous vampires. As if in a story the vampires wouldn't be gorgeous, ho ho. (Read the scanlations here, btw.)
Speaking of vampires, hello! Twilight movie! (Clip is only 1:10.)
Stunt work is fuuuuuuuun. I love the boards coming up when they're sliding across the floor, wow. It's hard to imagine things like that in my head when I read books. (Not that that itself was in the book, but it's a good additive, I'd say.) This is why I love live action! I have a feeling that this is going to be a very good adaption. I sure hope so, anyway.
"Twilight" is a novel by Stephenie Meyer. You can read about it at stepheniemeyer.com. It's THE HIP THING!
